Carissa Breen, CNC
In our culture, food means more than just nourishment. A meal can create strong emotional connections to family, friends, and loved ones. It can change the way we perceive ourselves and others. In fact, for many of us, food is a source of anxiety, confusion, control, or depression. It plays a major role in our mental health. As a holistic nutritionist, Carissa recognizes the difficulty in properly nourishing and healing oneself. It’s not easy, but you don’t have to do it alone. Carissa can identify dietary deficiencies and work with the whole family in making healthy dietary and lifestyle changes that are manageable and supportive.
Carissa specializes in pregnancy, prenatal, and postpartum nutrition, as well as baby’s first foods, children, and teens. As part of her practice, she also offers helpful cooking instruction in your own home in an effort to build confidence and comfort around dietary change.
