Christy is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who identifies as a gender fluid woman whose
pronouns are she/they. She has over four years of clinical experience as a mental health
professional working with both individuals and groups from a wide range of ages and mental
health experiences. She earned her Bachelor of Social Work degree from Michigan State
University and primarily supported individuals with intellectual and developmental differences
until earning her Master of Social Work degree from the University of Pennsylvania.
She is certified in Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction and uses an eclectic approach while
drawing on techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy,
Psychodynamic theory, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Narrative Therapy. Christy’s
background includes addressing concerns related to identity exploration, self-esteem, stress,
existential questioning, or uneasiness about the future. She has worked closely with college-
aged students, adults, the LGBTQ+ community, and people from all walks of life who have
Christy recognizes individuals as being a whole human and is here to help by listening, asking
exploratory questions, and offering reflection and support. She can help you to improve your
self-awareness and self-compassion, make peace with the past, and cultivate affirming
thoughts. Christy can help you re-create your life’s narrative and gain balance and harmony to
help you move forward.
