I decided to become a social worker and therapist because of my passion for helping others. My mission is to help others heal and grow. When people have a safe space to explore their concerns, the possibilities for healing and growth are endless. Jennifer is a Licensed Professional Counselor with over 8 years of experience in mental health treatment. She is a social justice advocate who promotes diversity, equity, and inclusion. She offers individual therapy for adults from diverse cultural backgrounds. Her therapy interests and practice areas include depression, anxiety, identity development, life changes, relationships, impact of oppression, LGBTQIA+, grief & loss, trauma, support for college students, professionals experiencing burnout, in addition to birth trauma, and postpartum anxiety and depression. She strives to create a trusting relationship with her clients and works with them collaboratively on a personalized treatment plan. She utilizes an eclectic approach that often includes Person Centered theory, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing. She also incorporates mindfulness and meditation in her work with clients.
