“ Rivers know this: there is no hurry. We shall get there someday.” Winnie the Pooh
I am a licensed clinical social worker helping people find their way through life's challenges. My approach to therapy is person-centered, meaning that I believe you are the expert on your own life. My role as your therapist is to support you in exploring your thoughts, feelings, and experiences in a safe and judgment-free space.
I believe that creativity, humor, and other forms of expressions can be deeply impactful in therapy and in healing. This can be a powerful way to explore difficult emotions and gain new insights into your inner world. My therapeutic approach is rooted in empathy, active listening, and genuine connection. I believe that everyone has the capacity for growth and healing, and I am committed to assisting clients in their journey towards self-discovery and personal transformation. Aside from person centered therapy, I utilize cognitive behavioral therapy and am influenced by motivational interviewing.
I work with individuals 18+. My areas of practice are ADHD, OCD, anxiety, depression, body image, life stressors/ transitions, LGBTQIA population, relationship concerns (outside of couples counseling), stress management, grief/loss, and burnout/job related issues.
